Recently grabbed the Sirui 50mm t2.9 full frame anamorphic lens. Here’s a few test shots I managed to grab of some BMX at Roc City Skatepark with Tanner Jensen and Edward Lebron.

Shot on Sony a7siii and Atomos Ninja V in pro res 4:22 with the Sirui 50mm T2.9 Anamorphic lens. All shot at 2.9. Graded in Davinci Resolve.

How to shoot with the sony a7siii and Sirui 50mm full frame anamorphic lens:

This was shot in 3840×2160. It was then placed in a 1080 timeline (3072×1080).

Because there is no proper preset for desqueezing 1.6X squish footage in davinci, I went into the inspector panel and changed it to a 1.6/1 ratio between the X and Y zoom respectively. This means, because it’s a 4k file in a 1080 timeline, your X and Y Values for zoom should be .8 and .5 respectively if you’re shooting on the sony a7siii in UHD 4k (3840×2160). I went with 1080 rather than 4K because the width would’ve ended up being much greater than the original resolution and I’d prefer to compress pixels rather than stretching them.
