Showcasing a preview from the Najmat Sitta Collection ✨. I have been exploring scale, structure and movement.
As each piece is cut its structure shifts whilst drying naturally without support. In doing so the pieces embrace its own organic movement amongst the geometrical pattern- giving it a sense of life.
At the heart of this work lies a six-pointed star, a geometrical pattern rooted in Islamic geometry. These works demonstrate my further development and experimentation exploring themes of identity, nostalgia and material form. Made from Ourika Clay.
