ART BASEL BASEL
We are pleased to present a group project featuring works by Sara Ouhaddou, M’barek Bouhchichi, and Nadia Ayari at Art Basel 2025 in the new Premiere Section. This carefully curated presentation establishes a dialogue between three significant contemporary voices from North Africa, shifting regional heritage and symbolism from the peripheries to the centre through a shared artistic language.
The booth combines both a research-driven approach and a profound exploration of material and aesthetics. Informed by their North African roots, these artists draw on historical thematic threads that move in conjunction with gestural idioms inherent to Moroccan and Tunisian backgrounds. Spanning ceramics, weaving, painting, and sculpture, the works bridge past and present both materially and conceptually through a reinterpretation of regional iconographies.
