In AlUla, I focused my practice on experimenting with materials from the oasis.
I used them in cyanotype, pushing the limits of this process shifting its usual deep blues toward sun-faded, sand-colored tones.
I also adapted the Japanese washi technique to make paper from palm leaves, an abundant resource in which I see potential for new uses.
A few of these experiments were shared in a workshop, offering a moment to test ideas and connect with the community.
