Third Space opens this Saturday
For Anisa Nachett, making is a form of thought through the sensory.
Trained as an architect, she moved from drawing to working with material. In her process, the hand does not simply execute, but perceives and discovers. Form emerges through making, not in advance.
Her work brings together two architectural languages: Brick and Moroccan zellige. Extruded into three-dimensional forms and cut open, revealing what lies within.
From this same geometric language, a series of vases emerges. Functional objects that remain closely tied to the sculptural work. The vases are custom made for Galerie Poche, in an edition of 30. The first five pieces are available at a reduced price during the opening, from 245 to 225 euros.
Join us for the opening, with Moroccan bites by Mina Abouzahra.
