M’barek Bouhchichi & Sara Ouhaddou | Kabarin-javakanto: A Reading of the Collection Fondation H

Inspired by the Malagasy tradition of kabary (public oratory), Kabarin-javakanto brings together works from the Collection Fondation H in a dialogue across generations, geographies, and artistic practices.
The exhibition features works by gallery artists M’barek Bouhchichi and Sara Ouhaddou. Bouhchichi presents Constellation 1 (2024), an installation reflecting on language, erased histories, water, and collective memory through engraved ceramic vessels. Ouhaddou’s Woven/Unwoven (2018), developed in collaboration with embroidery students and artisans in Tetouan, reimagines traditional embroidery by combining ancestral techniques with reclaimed materials, exploring the transmission and transformation of craft knowledge.
